São Miguel do Gostoso, a small village in the north of Brazil born and raised by fishermen, stretches for 27km along the pristine shores of the South Atlantic Ocean.
The gorgeous unspoiled vast landscape provides the village clean water, endless stretches of palm groves, huge sandy beaches and rocky seaside cliffs.
In this atmosphere is located the house and the whole is careful understanding of the way of local life by adopting basic construction systems like reflection on the way to build a tropical space.
Four independent volumes bound together by a single breathable and light roof, specially designed to allow natural ventilation while creating a fascinating play of light and shadow.
Completely surrounded by large verandas whose variable size depend on the relationship between the spaces and functions, the house welcomes the surrounding palm trees and the private pool facing the sunset, on which the living area and the master suite overlook.
There is no distinction between inner and outer. A cotton fabric curtain allows you to enjoy the house as a large open space of over 200 square meters, adjustable shade according to need-externally, a layer of panels acts as a protection and a hermetic seal.
The main volume presents itself as a generous open space in which the main domestic functions are located. Adjoining the main room overlooking the water, a large central patio creates a natural screen of intimacy between the living and the sleeping areas, at the same time providing access to the suites, each equipped with a private veranda that overlooks a secluded garden.
